Welcome to UpSTREAM!

UpSTREAM teaches STREAM (Science, Technology, Robotics, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) to Seattle students in grades 3–5. Our work is bridging resource gaps caused by disproportionate access to STREAM opportunities through accessible and culturally-relevant STREAM education. Founded by students driven by their ambition to contribute to their community, UpSTREAM offers three free STREAM programs: STREAM Labs, LiveSTREAMs, and Online Tutoring.

STREAM Workshops

UpSTREAM provides free STREAM workshops for students in grades 3–5, including our seasonal in-person STREAM Labs and monthly online LiveSTREAMs.
  • Next LiveSTREAM: Force & Motion, April 25 from 1 PM to 2 PM
  • Next STREAM Lab: The Engineering Lab, April 13 from 12 PM to 3 PM
Students in these workshops engage in hands-on activities involving STREAM topics ranging from engineering to robotics in societal and cultural contexts.

Online Tutoring

UpSTREAM provides free online tutoring for students in grades 3–5. Online Tutoring allows students to supplement their academic performance.
  • Weekdays: After 4 PM for STREAM or Humanities
  • Weekends: After 9 AM for STREAM or Humanities
Students in this program engage in 1:1 sessions with a knowledgeable Seattle high school student, providing an excellent source of mentorship.
